The Birthday Countdown
OptimismWell, it does mean we do the tradition of going to a themepark (without fail) and this year is gonna be a little bit smaller (as in, Euro-Disney smaller. I'm afraid nothing is gonna quite top my Sweet 16th (with maybe a few exceptions)) I might be doing a lot of photojournalism while I'm in the park (with my sister (aka the Roller Coaster Queen) and my Mom (aka the self-proclaimed "Walking Locker")) and, depending if I can get away with it AND actually finish it in time (which is doubtful knowing me), I might try to wear one of my cosplay wigs while i'm in there (again though, I doubt it. I'll probably chicken out if I don't finish (or start) any of the wigs (plus, I don't think they'd stay onto my head during rides unless I invested in a whole army of headpins XD))
I'm fecking excited though! I "enforced" my brother into buying me an Organization XIII Coat (though I'm not supposed to know about yet so shhhhhhhh!) which means I'm one step closer to my beloved KH dream cosplays, and my parents have decided to start up a new tradition for the girls (well, in mom's case, continue a family tradition from her side which she knows she ought to have started after I got my A Levels). It's a little charm bracelet but I'm only allowed to buy charms/receive charms for it IF ITS A SPECIAL OCCASION. Gawddddd it's gonna be the most expensive thing I own that I wear! XD Kind of a scary thought really now that I think about it XD
Continuing onto the cosplay theme, Ammy's been put on hold again XD I got bored and I was feeling fickle.
Squall's missing exactly 5 belts (two red ones around his waist, three brown ones around his leg), one fur ruff (it's still being knitted and its sooooo soft and fluffy ;3; ) one possible wig (I've given up trying to style my hair like his) and one gunblade (and maybe a better pair of boots lol)! Oooo and a pair of gloves (I have winter ones, but I'd rather wear something a little less woolly for summer).
Aerith: haven't even started though I've "liberated" my sister's ugg boots for her (she never wears them and we relatively have the same size feet. Its fair dos since she keeps knicking my nice heels).
And finally, writing has been a long and slow progress thats been hampered by a male harriden of a boss and the fecking hot weather (do not compute when its hot. I have siesta). I'll try to get on with Chapter 42 of Heart Under Siege (because I have the most awesomest/dramatic idea for Axel and Roxas XD)

Thanks for the fanart! I really liked how you portrayed Leon and Cloud's relationship by including the dagger and snake (I think there was a cloak involved too but I couldn't quite tell XD) in the picture.

Well, for the picture I kind of wanted to have a little bit of everything in it, from the past and present chapters. They both don't look happy, that's for sure haha, but Leon's always so serious and Cloud always so angry but at the same time worried and confused. He is a lot more vulnerable looking because of the current position he's in, (ahem)concubine, but also just the general fragile state of things with him. A dagger beefs his character up a little bit though, so he doesn't look like a weener haha! I wanted to portray that in the picture, so I did lolz, but while Cloud seems to have all these emotions up front, Leon doesn't, so I wanted to portray that to. That's why he is almost stiff looking but at the same time, has Cloud in his lap and his hand on Cloud's back, to add some depth to that serious face lolz! While the dagger and the snake have been seen or used in previous chapters, as you obviously know haha, they also represent present and future happenings. The snake for house Jenova, an ever present poison and foe you most likely won't see until it's to late, and also the moon card has been brought up. That's to represent a more mysterious side to the Jenova aspect because it is the mystical aspect of Jenova, while the snake with the aid of the moon becomes the physical. The dagger was put in there to emphisize (Oh goodness, did I spell that wrong?) on Cloud's character but was also used to show the betrayal, assassination attempts/assassinations, and flowing blood that will occur when it becomes present. I put Cloud and Leon in a more desert outfit because Dalmasca was where things really started to happen, where the past, present, and future of the story started to become more evident and merged together.
